Today I am thankful for books. Books are a gateway to new worlds, a great learning tool, and a way to get away from it all. Thank you to the countless authors, editors, publishers, bookstores and others who provide us with books.
Today I am thankful for books. Books have been my friends my entire life. They provide entertainment, escape, and knowledge. Books have the power to bring people together and they are great conversation pieces. I love books. Thank you to all those people, past and present, for writing, editing and printing books.
Today I am thankful for books. Books can be teachers, entertainers, conversation starters, bonding experiences, a way to escape and so much more. Books have been a big part of my life since my life began. Before I was even born, my brother Bill would ask our mother to read Curious George to ‘the baby’. I was read to a lot in my early life and I remember the excitement of learning to read by myself. When I was a child, I was constantly found lying around with a book. Even when I had friends over, I was reading. We would lie side by side and read our books. When we were done, we would swap books. I have fond memories of visits to the library and the bookstore. I cannot imagine not being able to read. Thank you to all who have written books, printed books, sold books and lent books!
