Today I am thankful for cousins. My cousins were my first friends. We spent a lot of time together growing up and those relationships are still very special to me. Some of my fondest memories are of spending time with my cousins. Thank you to all my cousins for being in my life. I love you all.
This week takes us back to 1974-ish. My cousin Laurie and I loved to play dress up when we were little. On this particular day, we had a knock down, drag out fight over the purple vest (Laurie won). Our Grandpa, as usual, was there with camera in hand to record our cuteness. This one of my very favorite photos (and there are many) of me and Laurie.
Today is a very important day. It is the birthday of my cousin or, as my mother always said to me, ‘the only sister you are going to get’. So today, I celebrate many years (every year of my life, actually) of having this fabulous woman by my side and look forward to many more adventures together.
